According to the latest news from Home WeChat News, The Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF for short) will create a revenue of 1.21 billion US dollars in 2023, an increase of 19% from the peak before the COVID-19 epidemic in 2019. The 2023 exhibition includes 673 exhibitors and industry insiders from 136 countries.
The exhibition resumed activities at two venues, with an estimated 19275 professional buyers attending, of which 30% were foreign buyers and 40% were first-time visitors. Tourists mainly come from Asia, followed by North America and Oceania. As for the country, China has the highest number of tourists, ranking ahead of Singapore, the United States, India, and Australia in terms of attendance.
The exhibition organizer stated that over four fifths of attendees came to purchase new products and place orders. The most popular furniture categories are restaurants, bedrooms, living rooms, offices, interior decor, and kitchens.
